Interaction systems - 2022/ongoing
Italian physicist and essayist specializing in theoretical physics, Carlo Rovelli, writes the book Heligoland in the Year 2020: a long meditation generated by the last century of scientific discoveries achieved in the field of quantum mechanics. Thanks to the achievements of modern physics and its continuous research, we currently have an analysis on the fraying of reality for which the classical worldview is an unconfirmed hallucination. Rovelli states that the best current description of reality is in terms of events that weave a web of interactions, each thing is only what is reflected in others, and a world made of substances is thus replaced by a world made of relations that respond to each other. This view induces us to explore, in an astonishing new perspective, fundamental questions still unresolved, from the constitution of man to that of nature.
Reality is thus a vast network of interacting entities, entities of which human beings are part and which mutually manifest themselves by interacting. These interactions then define the world and the universe; they are discontinuous, mild and ephemeral events occurring in the quantum world. The key word around which Mother Nature revolves is "interdependence," a teeming of events happening in succession generating sequences whose order generates time and its arrow. Interdependence requires forgetting autonomous essences and instead espousing the concept of the whole, it weaves the nodes to which the bridges that constitute the properties of systems and all things that are realized in mutual interaction are laced. At the quantum level nothing exists as an autonomous entity, every absolute is absent, understanding this aspect is crucial to freeing human beings from material attachment, no thing has properties except in relation to others. These complex structures of interaction generate all the natural phenomena that belong to the universe, at the elementary physical level the world is the network of mutual information that defines the grammar of reality. The cosmos is interaction and life organizes relative information. Humanity is just a complex and delicate embroidery of the network of relationships of which reality is made up.
Physical systems, networks of events, fabric of reality, interdependence, interconnection, interweaving, the contemporary view of reality is similar to a dense fabric generated by the threads of the complex network of interactions of events: these are the themes that generate the series of textural fabrics named "systems of interaction" and which the author celebrates with a new poetry in the use of antique processed papers, a fundamental component of his current work.

Il fisico e saggista italiano specializzato in fisica teorica Carlo Rovelli, scrive il libro Helgoland nell’anno 2020: una lunga meditazione generata dall’ultimo secolo di scoperte scientifiche ottenute nel campo della meccanica quantistica. Grazie ai traguardi raggiunti dalla fisica moderna e alla sua continua ricerca, attualmente disponiamo di un’analisi sullo sfrangiarsi della realtà per la quale la visione classica del mondo è un’allucinazione ormai non più confermata. Rovelli afferma che la migliore attuale descrizione della realtà è in termini di eventi che tessono una rete di interazioni, ogni cosa è solo ciò che si rispecchia in altre e ad un mondo fatto di sostanze si sostituisce quindi un mondo fatto di relazioni che si rispondono tra loro. Questa visione induce ad esplorare, in una stupefacente nuova prospettiva, questioni fondamentali ancora irrisolte, dalla costituzione dell’uomo a quella della natura.
La realtà è quindi una vasta rete di entità in interazione, entità delle quali l’essere umano è parte e che si manifestano reciprocamente interagendo. Queste interazioni quindi definiscono il mondo e l’universo, sono eventi discontinui, lievi ed effimeri che avvengono nel mondo quantico. La parola chiave attorno alla quale ruota madre natura è “interdipendenza”, un brulicare di eventi che accadono in successione generando sequenze il cui ordine genera il tempo e la sua freccia. L’interdipendenza richiede di dimenticare essenze autonome e di sposare invece il concetto di tutto, intreccia i nodi ai quali si allacciano i ponti che costituiscono le proprietà dei sistemi e di tutte le cose che si realizzano nell’interazione reciproca. A livello quantistico nulla esiste come entità autonoma, ogni assoluto è assente, comprendere questo aspetto è fondamentale per liberare l’essere umano dall’attaccamento materiale, nessuna cosa ha proprietà se non in relazione ad altre. Queste complesse strutture di interazione generano tutti i fenomeni naturali che appartengono all’universo, a livello fisico elementare il mondo è la rete di informazione reciproca che definisce la grammatica del reale. Il cosmo è interazione e la vita organizza informazioni relative. L’umanità è solo un ricamo complesso e delicato della rete di relazioni di cui è costituita la realtà.
Sistemi fisici, reti di eventi, tessuto della realtà, interdipendenza, interconnessione, intreccio, la visione contemporanea della realtà è simile ad un fitto tessuto generato dai fili della complessa rete di interazioni di eventi: questi sono i temi che generano la serie dei tessuti materici nominata “sistemi di interazione” e che l’autore celebra con una nuova poesia nell’utilizzo delle carte antiche lavorate, componente fondamentale del suo lavoro attuale.
